UX Desgn Intern @ Google.
Master student in HCI @ Georgia Tech.
Fashion-lover, matcha-maker, traveller...
My name is Xinyu Li. I am a master student studying Human Computer Interaction at Georgia Institute of Technology. I love beautiful things and songs, food, tea (especially grean tea) and fashion..
Last year, I graduated from Zhejiang University with a dual degree in both Design and Engineering. I was also a member of an elite program called Design and Innovation, where I explored the intersections of design, business and tech. This diverse background equipped me with a logic mind and an empathetic heart. With them, I am able to create experiences which resonate the most with the target audience.
This summer, I am interning in Google as a UX Design Intern. As a New Yorker, I catch trains and linger around rooftops as everyone else does.
At school, I explore the space of HCI and ubiquitous computing. More specifically, I design novel ways to enhance smartwatch interactions.
I just started to organize my scattered thoughts and whims about user experience on Medium and Tumblr. Not long ago, I wanted to wait until all the paragraphs are ready before writing. Recently, I realized that it’s completely unnecessary to “get everything ready”. Being alive, there is no such status as “all set”. In design, iterations make quicker progress. “Writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way”. So I will believe in my “car”, my pen (I mean my keyboard), my thoughts. As long as I am still writing, one day I will have thousands of paragraphs.
